"How To Be A No Limit Person"
(This was actually a video program)
By Wayne Dyer
-Deficiency motivation = "What I am I don't like." Always try to get some place else. Always want more.
-No limit people never say, "I don't have enough."
-Must me flexible and willing to change - able to handle all.
-No limit people accept themselves for what they are.
-Learn to enjoy everything - a way of thinking.
-99% of me is intangible; conscious awareness; invisible.
-See myself as love and only that to give away.
-Stress, fear, embarrassment, etc. only comes out of me if i have it inside.
-No limit people celebrate the lessons in life.
-No one can hurt my feelings without my consent - that's just their opinion.
-There are problems in relationships - just the way it is; two people with different ideas about life and that's ok.
Beliefs of a No Limit person:
1. Quality rather than appearances - What I think of me is more important than what others think of me.
-Independent of others opinions - don't need approval of anyone.
2. Ethics rather than rules - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Golden rule.
3. Knowledge instead of achievement - Do what makes sense to me.
4. Personal authority rather than being an authoritarian - No need to dominate anyone.
-Have inner power - know thyself
-What you put out is what you get back.
5. Serenity instead of acquisitions - inner peace; enjoy everything; attitude.
-Be love - forgiveness is the key.
Interesting fact about Wayne Dyer: A literary agent persuaded Dyer to package his ideas in book form, resulting in Your Erroneous Zones; although initial sales were thin, Dyer quit his teaching job and began a publicity tour of the United States, doggedly pursuing bookstore appearances and media interviews ("out of the back of his station wagon", according to Michael Korda, making the best-seller lists "before book publishers even noticed what was happening"[4]), which eventually led to national television talk shows including Merv Griffin, The Tonight Show, and Phil Donahue
